DENVER, Colo. - September 17, 2019 - PRESS RELEASE - The Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) has released the Average Market Rates (AMR) for retail (adult-use) marijuana effective Oct. 1, 2019 through the end of 2019.
The average price per pound of bud again rose moderately from the previous quarterly update, specifically to $999 per pound for bud (from $850 in July 2019). This is the fourth consecutive quarter where bud rates increased. Trim prices remained at $325 per pound, the same price as last quarter. The bud and trim allocated for extraction rates rose slightly to $254 and $200 per pound, respectively (compared to $227 and $177 per pound last quarter). Immature plant seeds remained at $8 each, while wet whole plants rose to $173 per pound and seeds increased to $5 each.
The AMR is the median market price of each category of unprocessed retail marijuana that is sold or transferred from retail marijuana cultivation facilities to retail marijuana product manufacturing facilities or retail marijuana stores. The Oct. 1 AMR was calculated based on retail marijuana transactions recorded from May 1, 2019 through July 31, 2019 in the state’s marijuana inventory tracking system.
