California Seeks Public Input about Cannabis Cultivation Licensing

CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing is hosting four public forums to speak with people and get more input.


WEAVERVILLE, Calif. - The California Department of Food and Agriculture, CDFA, is working on a drafted environment impact report for licensed cannabis cultivation.

Applications for a cannabis cultivation license will start being accepted January 2018.

Before then, the CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing branch of the CDFA is trying to finalize their program environmental impact report. They don't want to finalize it until they have heard from the public.

The branch manager, Amber Morris, said they spent over a year working up the draft they have now, but after hearing the public changes could still be made.
