As cannabis cultivation businesses increasingly concentrate in certain areas of the city, public and business development officials are wrestling over whether to impose new limits on cannabis cultivation.
At a committee hearing on Tuesday, representatives of the Power Inn Alliance — a business improvement district in southeastern Sacramento — expressed concern about the concentration of cannabis cultivators within its borders. The group argued that the influx has driven up property and lease costs and caused established businesses to close or relocate.
