Sessions' Decision Has No Impact at CSU-Pueblo Cannabis Institute

The director of Colorado State University-Pueblo's Institute of Cannabis Research said none of the research currently underway at the school will change.

"None of our research currently underway will change as a result of this announcement, because as a university receiving federal funding, everything we do is federally compliant," said Rick Kreminski, director of the institute.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions will now leave it up to federal prosecutors to decide what to do when state rules collide with federal drug law.

"We need to know what, if any, actions Congress may take; how Colorado governmental representatives respond; and how the U.S. Dept. of Justice/DEA in Colorado reacts," Kreminski said.
