Nevada Congresswoman Jacky Rosen and other members of Congress on Monday sponsored bi-partisan bill H.R. 975, the Respect State Marijuana Laws Act.
This bill would effectively apply many of the same statutes as the 2013 Cole Memorandum, a policy that prohibits federal prosecutors from regulating marijuana cultivation and distribution for individual states.
Last week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinded the Cole Memorandum in an attempt to crack down on marijuana at the federal level.
