The City of Dover Council passed an ordinance that prohibits the use of medical marijuana by employees, prohibits dispensaries in the city, and emphasizes the city’s drug free workplace policy.Safety Director Tim Tarulli says council has also been asked to stand firm on the city’s drug free workplace policy. The policy makes no allowance for marijuana even if they have a certificate from a doctor.
Currently, the city has had success with the drug free policy, and they would like to continue to ensure the safety of city employees and the community.
