SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah) – In November voters will decide the fate of medical marijuana in Utah, and a state lawmaker is addressing the controversial proposition with a new bill.
Rep. Brian King says no matter what happens with Proposition 2, the state legislature needs to deal with it. His bill would do that after voters weigh in.
"There are more legitimate uses for medical marijuana than we have seen the legislature acknowledge, and accommodate for in the past and there are people suffering who could use it," said King (D-Salt Lake City).
The House minority leader filed a bill titled Medical Marijuana Modifications to address the contention surrounding the proposition.
