With the first anniversary of cannabis legalization in California coming up, cannabis permit and application efforts are still ongoing throughout Mendocino County, but progress is slow due to the lengthy application process.
At the most recent Board of Supervisors meeting, the board received an update on the Mendocino County Cannabis Cultivation program and cannabis compliance efforts. Mendocino County cannabis permit data, as of Nov. 30, showed that the county had received 1,187 applications, but had only issued 200 permits.
