RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - As 2018 comes to a close, people are preparing for the next legislative session. New Approach South Dakota is one group with plans to present a new bill to allow medical marijuana in South Dakota.
The group holds monthly meetings to discuss what they are working on and future plans, like the bill they hope to introduce in January. New Approach hopes that the bill can pass with enough signatures to be on the ballot in 2020. As the team in Sioux Falls spends the next few weeks writing the language of the bill they also take into account suggestions that members send in when deciding what should be included.
