BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Voters in Bakersfield
and Kern County rejected several measures for
the regulation of cannabis during Tuesday’s midterm election.
Arvin voters, however, approved a cannabis taxation measure.
Kern County supervisors previously banned all
commercial cannabis activity.
Measure J would’ve allowed and regulated commercial medical cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, testing, retailing, distribution, and micro-business in the unincorporated areas of Kern County.
