In California: Arvin Voters OK Cannabis Measure, But Bakersfield and Kern Voters Say ‘No’

Kern County supervisors previously banned all commercial cannabis activity.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Voters in Bakersfield and Kern County rejected several measures for the regulation of cannabis during Tuesday’s midterm election.

Arvin voters, however, approved a cannabis taxation measure.

Kern County supervisors previously banned all commercial cannabis activity.

Measure J would’ve allowed and regulated commercial medical cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, testing, retailing, distribution, and micro-business in the unincorporated areas of Kern County.
