Colorado has launched a new campaign to educate the public about marijuana, especially responsible use, according to various reports. The campaign, called "Good to Know," aired Monday, becoming what The Denver Post says was "quite possibly the world's first public service announcement on marijuana." It will be paid for out of Colorado marijuana tax dollars, reports The Denver Post, and it targets Colorado residents and tourists, including teens, Latinos and even breastfeeding women, according to USA Today.

Colorado's "Good to Know" campaign aims to educate residents and tourists with various targeted slogans.
The campaign's website touts catchy phrases such as, "Public space is not the place," "With those under 21, be aware, it's illegal to give or share," addressing important regulations about the state's legalized marijuana market that apparently many do not know. "According to a survey of the drug’s use and perceptions done along with the campaign, only 27% of Coloradans realize it’s illegal to smoke marijuana in public, and only 23% know that one must be 21 to purchase it," reports Time.
The campaign also addresses the need to keep marijuana out of reach of children with its "Store it right: Locked up, out of reach and out of site" slogan, and it lets tourists know that they can't take legal marijuana out of state: "What you get here [in Colorado], can't go out there."
