More children being poisoned by marijuana

Editor's Note: This article closes with the statement, "… the state Liquor Control Board has strict rules, but ultimately the responsibility lies in the hands of parents to keep pot away from their kids." Here's hoping the masses understand this and don't simply blame the marijuana marketplace. After all, marijuana is like alcohol in that sense: Parents need to take measures to keep marijuana in all forms–particularly a risk with edibles, where the marijuana content may not be obvious to a child. Just because it's legal, doesn't mean it should be left out in the open. Here's to also hoping incidents decline as parents learn of the risks and take the necessary precautions to avoid these distressing situations. 

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Washington Poison Center says they are getting more calls about kids being exposed to marijuana since the legalization of recreational pot in Washington State.

The center’s new report shows data from this year through August 28 showing an alarming number of teens and toddlers being exposed.
