GIE Media is a leader in quality, targeted b-to-b media products that connect readers and advertisers, and develop mutually beneficial business relationships. GIE Media is seeking a Managing Editor for its Horticulture Group, which includes Greenhouse Management, Nursery Management, Garden Center and Cannabis Business Times magazines.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: editing/proofing editorial content, conducting interviews, and writing articles and advertorial content for a daily website, weekly e-newsletter and bimonthly print publication; posting original and aggregated news stories to the brand's website; working with the art department on print magazine layout/managing print production; and helping to grow the brand's social media presence. Some travel for trade shows and other industry events is required.

Experience conducting interviews, writing and editing for a monthly, weekly or daily publication (print or digital) required. Experience managing print production strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or a related field strongly preferred. Other requirements include: flexibility, excellent writing, listening and communication skills, ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, adaptability, creativity, willingness to travel and strong organizational skills.
