“If you have a category, if you are trying to appeal to a diverse consumer base in any type of intelligent way, I think you need to have a diverse base of people inside your company internally to be able to connect with that consumer.”
Evelyn Wang, CEO of California-based cannabis and CBD wellness company Papa & Barkley, said when asked about the importance of increasing Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) diversity in cannabis and CBD.
“… I don’t utilize or smoke marijuana, but I tried delta-8 and delta-10 products that we tested as an experiment, and for me, delta-10 had no psychoactive effects; it was more like a mood enhancer.”
Roger Brown, the president and founder of ACS Laboratory, said when describing his personal experience trying delta-10 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
“Letting people know was the first part of it. We testified at both the House committee hearing and the Senate committee hearing, and the overwhelming response [was], ‘This is an issue?’ Like, ‘I didn’t even know about it. I can’t believe it.’”
