CanaFarma Hemp Products Corp. Doubles Size of Farm

The company has signed a lease for 100 acres of farmland in New York, almost doubling the size of its farm in 2019.


CanaFarma Hemp has signed a lease for 100 acres of farmland in Cato, New York, almost doubling the size of its farm from 2019, the company recently announced in a news release.

The company is a full-service hemp company and offers a full range of products. In addition to having its own farm, the company also has its own processing facility, research staff, marketing team, marketplace portal and distribution center. It owns the Yooforic and Herbal State of Mind hemp product brands.

In 2019, CanaFarma Hemp operated a 55-acre farm in New York State and harvested 128,000 pounds of hemp biomass. The company says it achieved a yield of more than 2,300 pounds per acre. It adds than this is more than the average farm yield, which CanaFarma says is in the range of 1,500 pounds per acre.

CanaFarma says the cannabidiol (CBD) potency of its hemp in 2019 was more than 14%.

"We are obviously very pleased with the harvest we achieved in 2019, and we will be endeavoring to continue this level of performance in 2020," says company CEO David Lonsdale in a press release.

The company says it looking to expand its acreage in New York state as well as in neighboring states.
