SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) — Within four days, recreational-use marijuana sales will be legal in California, but as of Thursday night, the state says there are no stores in Sacramento to sell recreational pot.
Before the state provides a temporary license, the business must first get approval from the city.
As of Thursday afternoon, California has issued 42 retail licenses. Another 150 applications are pending and regulators plan to work all weekend to review them.

The City of Sacramento has already approved a few medical marijuana dispensaries to start selling to everyone, like midtown's All About Wellness.
The store will open Monday, but unless the state can push through a last-minute permit, the dispensary won't be allowed to sell to recreational users.
