PRESS RELEASE - The Green Solution (TGS) celebrated the completion of a new community gate that the company sponsored in a neighborhood near its 19370 E. Quincy Ave. location in Aurora, Colo. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Built as a measure to reduce the impact of non-residential traffic in the community, the city held a ribbon-cutting in partnership with residents and government officials from the city of Aurora, Colo.
TGS’ chief executive officer, Steve Lopez, hosted the ribbon-cutting for appreciative residents alongside TGS vice president of retail operations, Nick Tedesco, and retail regional manager, Casey Efting. A number of officials attended the event including Aurora city council member Françoise Bergan, Aurora deputy city manager Jason Batchelor, HOA community manager Keisha Washington and HOA board treasurer Iris Duckworth. Bergan and board officials presented TGS with a certificate of community appreciation.
When asked why she approached TGS for assistance obtaining the community gate, Duckworth stated that the high traffic of people traveling through the small community to reach the store created a safety risk for its elderly and disabled homeowners and “the cost of the gate would create an additional burden; happily for us, the financial help from The Green Solution, along with the help from the Aurora City Council, we now have a much appreciated gate for the homeowner’s safety,” said Duckworth.
