BOULDER, Colorado, November 16, 2021 - PRESS RELEASE - WeaveIQ, the cannabis retail software provider behind the suite of dispensary point of sale (POS) solutions, has worked in close collaboration with multistate operator Body and Mind (BaM) to develop a robust, custom integrated platform that facilitates online ordering while addressing associated pain points. Tackling everything from METRC compliance reporting to an elegant caregiver solution, this partnership has fostered a online ordering integration for cannabis stores approved by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
Early data from BaM and other customers showed the value of collecting orders in advance, which prompted WeaveIQ's creation of its online ordering plugin. BaM quickly joined as a partner, expediting and supporting the development and offering its locations as first adopters. This relationship is part of a trend in the cannabis industry, fueling a closer alignment of companies in different stages of the vertical chain. WeaveIQ and BaM are excellent examples of progressive collaboration between two innovative companies, benefiting from each other's strengths.
"Working directly with WeaveIQ gave us the upper hand in closing the gap between compliance, transactions, and the online customer experience," said Trip Hoffman, BaM chief operating officer. "Weave went above and beyond to innovate a robust, simple, and modern solution that helped us rapidly expand our operation and build our customer base."
James Ontiveros, WeaveIQ CEO, believes that the company's cannabis retail platform is what small businesses and large enterprises alike have been searching for.
"Our success is largely due to our customers," Ontiveros said. "From the very beginning, we decided to build our company by listening to the needs of these business owners and solving the challenges they face day-to-day. This has inspired us to build an intuitive ecosystem without any bloat, and this ensures that we are continuously solving real-world problems."
The WeaveIQ online ordering system is seamlessly integrated into its POS software. Key features include real-time inventory, auto applying promotions and live tax rates, all pulled directly from the POS software. Customers can also access their purchase history, loyalty points, order status and more. In addition, the attractive and user-friendly design makes its integration with existing compliance systems a snap.
WeaveIQ first launched its suite of dispensary POS solutions in early 2017 at a small cannabis retail store in Boulder, Colo. Since then, they have operated in 61 cities in 9 states and have facilitated over 5.5 Million transactions. BaM chose WeaveIQ as their POS partner when they opened their first store in Elyria, Ohio, and worked with them to expand into California, Arkansas, and soon in Michigan and Illinois. Historical proprietary data shows that employing WeaveIQ's online ordering solution can increase per transaction sales by over $40.
Currently, WeaveIQ is working on additional upgrades, including an "offline mode," a universal delivery integration for states that allow for it, and an artificial intelligence learning algorithm that can predict consumer demand patterns.
