Chalice Farms to Launch Weekly Community Contributions, Supporting Local Restaurants and First Responders

The company will launch a new campaign, “We Heal. We Share. We Come Together (Remotely).”


PORTLAND – PRESS RELEASE – Chalice Farms and its customers will launch a community initiative committing to match contributions and distribute funds to local restaurants and first responders, starting on Thursday, April 23.

Chalice Farms will implement a customer contribution program at its dispensaries, located throughout the Portland metropolitan area. Chalice Farms will match total customer contributions up to $5,000 weekly. Each of the seven dispensary locations will select a local restaurant in its community to purchase at least $5,000 worth of meals from, to be donated to local hospitals, fire departments, paramedics and police departments. The company’s first order will be from Nicoletta’s Table & Marketplace, located at 333 S. State St. in Lake Oswego. An Italian trattoria and small neighborhood market, Nicoletta’s is a local favorite that has transitioned to take-out orders only in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic. Chalice Farms will coordinate delivery of meals to healthcare professionals at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. Subsequent restaurants will be confirmed over the coming weeks. Locals interested in nominating restaurants for the difference-making meals may do so by commenting on the company’s Instagram page with the hashtags #teamchalicefarms and #chalicecares.

“We’re honored to be the first recipient of this contribution from Chalice Farms, and their continued support of our business in good times and in challenging times is truly appreciated,” said Shari Newman, owner of Nicoletta’s Table & Marketplace. “Restaurant workers have found this time especially difficult, so in conjunction of this contribution, we will be donating 25 percent of the Chalice Farms sale to our staff that we’ve had to temporarily lay off.”

Chalice Farms has implemented delivery and curbside pick-up offerings as safety measures for team members and customers. While shopping in stores is still permitted, the number of customers in each retail location is being limited as an additional precaution and as a measure of social distancing. The dispensary’s online ordering platform allows customers to reserve products, selecting whether they would like to pick-up in store, have products delivered, or utilize curbside pick-up. Chalice Farms offers complimentary delivery services for orders of $60 or more, available daily from noon to 8 p.m. Deliveries are collected and distributed on an hourly basis, with an estimated wait time of 30 to 90 minutes. Due to increased demand, there is a limited delivery zone that excludes deliveries from the company’s Tigard, Ore. and Dundee, Ore. locations.
