Under the banner name “Pot for Shots,” Greenhouse of Walled Lake, in Michigan, is giving away free pre-rolls to customers who show up with proof that they received a COVID-19 vaccine.
“We’re all stressed out, but the vaccine is hopefully what’s going to finally end this pandemic, and we just want to reward people who are going ahead of the curve to get the vaccine,” owner Jerry Millen told CNN. “If I can help stop the pandemic in any slightest way, and this is the way I can do it, so be it.”
The pre-rolls are sourced from Ubaked Cannabis Company.
The “Pot for Shots” giveaway runs through Jan. 29 (although that deadline may be extended into February).
In 2019, Greenhouse of Walled Lake accepted e-cigarette trade-ins for free cannabis vape cartridges, a response to the broader federal crackdown on nicotine vape products. All told, Millen gave away $50,000 in cannabis vape products as part of his campaign.
