Last week, recreational marijuana was legalized in Canada. Since then, cannabis-related equities have entered a bear market. This followed a period of mania, as investors bid shares in the sector up to stratospheric valuations. But, as the law came into effect last Wednesday, many investors decided it was better to travel than arrive and banked their gains. This appears to be a wise move.
