Yolo County’s Cannabis Coalition has new executive director who wants to coordinate a series of “networking events” where members can collaborate and meet with one another.
The most immediate event is a compliance workshop scheduled for Monday, Dec. 18, at the Woodland Community & Senior Center.

Melinda Galloway, the coalition’s new executive, made the announcement on the group’s website, saying that “the one thing that I have learned in this lifetime is that every single person can make a difference."
The Woodland workshop is last in a series sponsored by the county. Yolo County will be conducting community meetings throughout the county to receive public recommendations on a zoning ordinance for licensed medical cannabis cultivation in the unincorporated areas of the county. Other meetings are set for Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 6 p.m., in the Knights Landing Community Center, 42114 7th St., Knights Landing; Thursday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m., in the Clarksburg Library Activity Room, 52915 Netherlands Road, Clarksburg.
