The Alaska Public Offices Commission is investigating whether former TV newswoman Charlo Greene violated state election rules by using money raised via IndieGoGo to assist the ballot measure that legalized recreational use of marijuana in the 49th State.
In September, Greene became famous or infamous, depending on one’s point of view, for quitting her job while on air with the declaration: “F*** it I quit!” She then announced she was leaving her television job to become an advocate for marijuana legalization and to devote her time to working for the Alaska Cannabis Club, a medical marijuana business she heads.
APOC is moving forward with its request for detailed information about Greene’s crowdfunding campaign, which collected $8,400.
