John Cochran, Chief Operating Officer of Harvest Health & Recreation, will present the welcome keynote at Cannabis Conference 2019.
Cochran’s keynote will take place at 1:35 p.m. April 1 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. For more information and for full registration details, visit cannabisconference.com.
Cochran is the former CEO of multi-state cannabis company Loudpack Inc., former CEO of Ole Smoky Distillery, former CEO of Pabst Brewing Company, and former president and COO of Fiji Water Company. At Harvest, he’ll blend his experience in the cannabis and beverage industries into the multi-state operator’s growing portfolio and U.S. expansion.
“At a time when more mainstream consumers are becoming curious about cannabis products and turning to the plant to help improve their health and wellness, I look forward to applying my decades of experience and the best of what I have learned at some of the biggest U.S. companies to create great value for our shareholders and the cannabis industry at large,” Cochran said at the time of his appointment at Harvest.
At Cannabis Conference 2019, in his keynote address titled "Tapping the Beverage Market Boom," Cochran will discuss the growth of the beverage sector within the broader cannabis marketplace. He will detail his vision for cannabis beer and other beverages in the North American and global marketplace, including what legislative changes need to be addressed to enable the cannabis-beverage market to reach its full potential. Cochran will also explore Harvest’s value chain and frameworks for considering profitable, scalable solutions and the importance of communicating those shifts to investors.
With the cannabis industry aiming to be regulated like alcohol, Cochran’s insights will also shed light on what cannabis businesses can learn from the alcoholic beverages industry.
Before Cochran’s April 1 welcome keynote, he’ll join a panel of cannabis market experts who will lead a workshop on supply chain management (at 11:20 a.m. at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino). In this in-depth session, Cochran and others will explain the ins and outs of the supply chain and ways to streamline processes and better manage inventory and orders.
“Manage Your Supply Chain More Efficiently” is only available as part of the All-Access Cannabis Conference pass, which also includes other workshop opportunities and post-show video access to all educational sessions.
