Green Peak Innovations Approved for All 12 Medical Cannabis Cultivation Licenses in Michigan

The Lansing-based company has applied for 12 class C cultivation licenses, one processor license and 19 provisioning center licenses in Michigan.

LANSING, MI —December 7, 2018—PRESS RELEASE—The State of Michigan Medical Marihuana Licensing Board unanimously voted to issue the final 10 cultivation licenses to Lansing-based Green Peak Innovations (GPI) for large-scale medical cannabis.

Green Peak Innovations has applied for 12 class C cultivation licenses, one processor license and 19 provisioning center licenses in Michigan. The first two class C medical cultivation licenses were approved at October’s Licensing Board meeting.

“We hope to complete the licensing process no later than the January 2019 Licensing Board meeting so we can begin bringing to market the exceptional product we are growing in our Windsor Township and Lansing facilities,” said Jeff Radway, CEO of Green Peak Innovations.

GPI’s team is a diverse group of professionals united behind one simple goal: to create a premium seed-to-store operation in Michigan that patients can trust to consistently supply the highest quality medical cannabis products. To date, they employ 50 people and hope to employ as many as 200 as soon as the licensing process is complete.

“We are honored that GPI has been green lighted by the state’s rigorous licensing process from the very beginning and we look forward to being one of Michigan’s largest medical cannabis growers, processors and provisioning centers in the near future,” added Radway.

This month, GPI will complete construction on its main headquarters and production facility located on 25 acres in Harvest Park, a medical cannabis industrial park in Windsor Township, and an R&D facility on Jolly Rd. in Lansing. Additionally, GPI owns several properties for provisioning center locations that will launch in early 2019 and is acquiring more property throughout Michigan to deploy its pre-qualified provisioning center licenses.
