DENVER – The Cannabis Certification Council (CCC) has released the agenda for the second annual Cannabis Sustainability Symposium, which will be held on October 17 and 18, 2017 at the Embassy Suites Denver Downtown, according to a press release. “We’re looking forward to taking a deeper dive into environmental and social sustainability topics at this year’s expanded symposium,” said Ashley Preece, Executive Director of the CCC. “The expertise of the speakers will appeal to a variety of industry members, from facility operators to CEOs.”
The sessions will feature expert panels on topics including lighting, greenhouse design, HVAC, packaging, corporate social responsibility and certifications. Experts from across the US will present at the event, including: Derek Smith, Founder and Executive Director of the Resource Innovation Institute, Shelley Peterson, VP of Lighting Technologies at urban-gro, and Dr. Elizabeth A. Bennett, Assistant Professor of International Affairs and the Director of the Political Economy Program at Lewis & Clark College.
The Symposium will be keynoted by David Bronner, prominent advocate of drug policy reform and Cosmic Engagement Officer of Dr. Bronner’s, a top-selling soap brand in the US.
The Symposium is being planned with in-kind support from Denver Environmental Health and sustaining sponsorship from Denver Relief Consulting.
