November 14, 2017 – GIE Media Inc., a leading b2b media company serving 17 different industries through print and digital magazines, websites, e-newsletters, apps, conferences, reference books and other media platforms, today announced the launch of its newest title Cannabis Dispensary. This new publication is the only business publication exclusively dedicated to medical and recreational dispensaries in North America, and joins the publications in GIE Media’s Horticulture group, which include Cannabis Business Times, Greenhouse Management, Nursery Management, Garden Center, Produce Grower, Lawn & Landscape and Golf Course Industry.

“The economic opportunities continue to explode in this industry and will continue to grow as legislation continues to advance the issue,” says Christopher Foster, GIE Media’s CEO. “We are excited to expand our portfolio into this emerging segment of the market.”

Cannabis Dispensary, which makes its debut with the November 2017 issue, will have a six-time frequency in 2018. The magazine will be delivered in a print and digital platform. It will be complemented by a dedicated website, cannabisdispensarymag.com, and a weekly e-newsletter also launching in 2018.

“Since we entered the cannabis market with the launch of Cannabis Business Times in 2015, we’ve developed extensive relationships in the market and established our footprint at industry events,” says Group Publisher Jim Gilbride. “Cannabis Dispensary is the answer to the many retailers who have expressed their need for quality business information focused on the challenges of the cannabis retail side of the industry.”

Noelle Skodzinski expands her editorial director responsibilities and will oversee Cannabis Dispensary in addition to Cannabis Business Times and the Cannabis 2018 Cultivation Conference. Skodzinski brings more than 20 years of journalism experience to the team.
