Colorado Marijuana Found Throughout Kansas

Kansas attorney general Derek Schmidt says marijuana from Colorado has "permeated nearly all parts of Kansas."

The attorney general released a report that said the decision by Colorado to legalize marijuana has resulted in a sharp increase in the availability of marijuana-laced "edibles" in Kansas, which were rare before the Colorado experiment.

Schmidt said since Colorado changed its state law to allow recreational as well as medical use of marijuana, there have been ongoing anecdotal reports from law enforcement agencies that suggested that Colorado marijuana was readily flowing into Kansas.   His office gathered information from 320 law enforcement agencies and 70 prosecutors' offices to come up with a report that was released Monday.
