The City Council voted 6-0 in favor of putting put a marijuana tax on the November ballot.

SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) — Santa Clara is one step closer to taxing cannabis businesses.

The City Council voted 6-0 in favor of putting put a marijuana tax on the November ballot.

City officials are still finalizing regulations for recreational sales but they want to have a tax ready to go on retail, manufacturing and cultivation.
